From turning down a sure path in my family‘s business to stepping into a war zone as a young HR leader, each pivot taught me that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about human connection, resilience, and reinvention. I’m building a platform for those who are also on the edge of ‘holy shit, this is my life now.’ If you’re driven to find meaning behind the risks and turns, welcome. Formative Experiences

Rural Roots & Observations

EARLY YEARS

I grew up around horses, FFA, rodeo culture, and hardworking people who built lives with grit and determination. Long before I understood leadership formally, I was learning how to observe people, navigate pressure, and find my place in environments where I often felt both deeply connected and slightly different.
Learning to Help People

DALLAS, 2007

At 18, I stumbled unexpectedly into HR support during benefits enrollment season. I discovered I loved helping people find clarity in moments of confusion and stress — and that human connection could completely change someone’s experience.
Finding Humanity in a Warzone

IRAQ, 2011-2012

At 21 years old, I deployed to Baghdad during a historic period of transition as U.S. operations shifted to Iraqi control. What began as a career opportunity became one of the most defining experiences of my life — shaping how I understand leadership, adaptability, service, and human connection.
Building Something of My Own

CEDAR HILL, 2012

Returning home after deployment, I was determined to build a life intentionally — finishing my degrees at an accelerated pace, purchasing my first home, and refusing to settle for the easiest version of my future.
The Crane Truck Summer

MIDLOTHIAN, 2013
During a pivotal summer working alongside my father’s crane business, I learned operations from the ground up — payroll, invoicing, job sites, customer relationships, and driving a manual transmission crane truck through Dallas traffic. When my father offered me a future inside the business, I chose instead to continue building my own path first.

Less than a year after earning my degree and entering management training, I found myself driving away from the airport in Alaska realizing everything about my life had changed again. That moment became symbolic of a pattern that would repeat often: saying yes before certainty arrived.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of leadership, storytelling, human development, and meaningful conversation. Through leadership development, media, writing, podcasting, and community-building, I’m exploring what it means to help people navigate becoming.
